Soyummi Stories: We Really Do Have The Best CustomersOne of my favorite parts about being a member of the Soyummi Team is when I hear stories about the first time someone tried Soyummi pudding or when someone emails in to tell us how much they love them. A very close second, however, occurs when a run of the mill in-store product demo becomes an inspiring tale. Today, we’re going to talk about the latter situation to help you understand why we think we have the best customers on the planet.

In April and early May, Whole Foods Market employees demoed our Dark Chocolate, Tapioca, and Rice Puddings at several of their Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma locations. At the Kirby Drive store in Houston, Texas, we were told that everyone who tried Soyummi pudding loved it. This comment is pretty great in and of itself, so if that was the best thing to happen, we would’ve been thrilled. However, what happened when there was only one package of our pudding remaining on the shelf makes for the perfect, once-in-a-lifetime story.

According to Jennifer, the demo team expert who was showing our product that day, “Two guests reached for the last package at the same time, and instead of fighting over it, they took it to the register, one of them bought it, and they split it up, each taking 2 pudding cups from the 4-pack home…and they didn’t even know each other.” In a world where news reports and YouTube videos are occasionally filled with customers fighting over products when they’re on sale or when holiday stress is reaching an all-time high, it’s great to know that sometimes, two strangers can happily share a 4-pack of Soyummi pudding.
